Larry, This One's For You

King Eagle down

TENEO!!!
Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo! Go 'Teneo!
"..minor setback towards the road to the finals.."
For a guy who should be studying for his Math 18 long test and midterms which are both happening this week, sitting in the couch with eyes glued to the TV set, cheering for his collegiate team and watching them win are enough to keep a still sick guy, like me, up and about. Hearing cheers like "Get that ball" and "Go 'Teneo" can really pump the stifled school spirit in one's inards.
Today's game may have simply ended the majority's qualm that Ateneo's championship spurt has come to a dismal end due to the catastrophic injury of main gunner Larry Fonacier. The 58-55 win of my Ateneo Blue Eagles against the overzealous Adamson University is a much needed affirmation for the team that losing Fonacier in that ACL injury is not the end of the winning streak but a minor setback towards the road to the finals (bias aside).
Down by a huge defecit in the first half, the Blue Eagles are able to play catch up through the flare of superstar JC Intal who apparently rose to the challenge of leading the team to its first victory without Mr. #14 (pardon me if I keep on saying this common knowledge, it's to emphasize the fact that the injury is a very big dagger to the heart for the whole ADMU community). But it was the rainbow connection of premier ball-handler LA Tenorio in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter that gave the team the much-earned win.
The Blue Eagles played a valiant game today. Truly, this one's for Larry.

Sick Sad Little Me

Left by the ravages of sickness

"...health is trully wealth"
When one is sick, it is imperative that he/she must rest as much as he/she can but in my case, that is impossible, no thanks to our Filipino project (sighs with a curse). I still am not finished with that one but I'll worry about it later, after I eat a bountiful meal.
Now that my sickness has left me, I am stuck with a realization - health is trully wealth. In order for me to recuperate, I had to cut Math and Lit, and I even missed my guidance testing, which will get me reprimanded.
I hate getting sick. Really. It's hell.

The Need for Multiplicity - A Prelude

Strollers/Lovers

"doing the improbable won't be any different for me"
A lot has been happening to me this past few weeks - and when I say a lot I really mean a WHOLE LOT of HUBBUB is going on in my life. Well, it's not that I'm really stuck on work but the ironic thing is, it's the org work that keeps me restless for almost a month plus, there's some Salazarian Constructs of Life 101 along the way. There's the Guidon, the ADS, Gabay, and Heights, that keep me aloof for as long as I can remember. I want to be a part of these orgs, which I already am, but the problem is, I can't juggle all of these things. But oh well, I was able to handle high school, doing the improbable won't be any different for me... I hope.
So why the new lay out? Hmmm.. Would you believe that a messy, sloth of a guy like me suddenly had the urge to change the template of his blog just for the heck of it? Well my dear, you better believe that because that's what exactly happened to me on last night. I didn't work until the wee hours for I have an ADS thingie later this morning, but I am proud of this one because I'm the one who pictured the background.
This is just the beginning. I hope I can last five more years of this life. (crosses fingers)
